props – proper respect
pits – the worst possible situation, person, or thing
pits – to HomeTeam Pest Defense for severing an 11 year relationship because they are unable to provide a 2 day notice prior to pest control service. Read all about it here… (July 2011)
Previous props & pits from old petra-b website….
props – to my entire medical team for getting me through breast cancer treatment. My surgeon, my plastic surgeon, my anesthesiaologist, my oncologist, my radiation oncologist, my ophthalmologist, my nurse practitioner at my primary care doctor’s office, the hospital and surgical staff at Mercy hospital, the oncology nurses, radiation technicians and all the personnel who did the tests (biopsy, scans, etc.) You are all wonderful and I thank you!! (September 2007 – feeling like myself again and finally updating my website. )
pits – to the office of Michael Aguilar, MD in Sacramento for not having a “chance” to read a test result in over a weeks time. I don’t know if the incompetence rests with him, or his office staff, but it’s now been over 2 weeks since the report was faxed to his office with a recommendation of a biopsy, and I’ve heard nothing. The office staff also doesn’t return phone calls as promised. And here is a pit within a pit, patients weren’t notified when the office moved locations. I accidently found out the office was no longer where I thought it was, when I got voice mail calling shortly before a scheduled appointment. (December 2004)
*** an additional pit here. On January 19, 2005, after switching to a new doctor and having the recommended biopsy, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a mastectomy, chemo, radiation and reconstruction. I am so glad that I switched doctors, I could never have gone through this entire process with Dr. Aguilar. He couldn’t be bothered to even read a test result in a timely manner….
props – to the Steve’s Place Pizza delivery drivers in Natomas. Two times now, when delivering pizza’s to us, the drivers have given treats to my dog. KC said I should give them props! (November 2004)
pits – to JC Penney Portrait Studio in Arden Fair Mall. After the great expressions they captured of my granddaughters, they printed them all off center, shifted to the left. When I went to pick them up, the ONLY portrait that was centered the way my proofs showed, was an additional portrait that they wanted me to pay extra for. In over 2 months, the manager still hasn’t called me as promised… (October 4, 2004)
pits – to the Rite Aid (store #5218) 2603 Third Avenue in Seattle , WA who can sell feminine hygiene products to a tourist, but not allow her to use a restroom or even give her directions to the nearest public facility (even after she points out the need to use the feminine hygiene products that she just purchased). (September 2004)
props – to my very supportive husband Steve, for everything you do, in addition to all the work you’ve done to my websites while I try to learn this stuff. (Always)
